Commission Me!

Are you looking for bespoke, high quality music?

Are you looking for quality-assured music, tailor-made for you, from someone with close to ten years of deep experience with composition, music theory, and working to strict deadlines? Reach out to me and let’s make some musical magic happen.

You will also be getting a close-to-immediate result upon payment, the details of which I will lay out below.

What My Music Sounds Like

You might have seen this on the front page but here are some Demo Reels that showcase what I’m capable of!

HOW TO ASK / GUIDELINES / CONDITIONS

  • Send me an e-mail or private message, with the word “commission” or “[COM]” somewhere in the subject line (to ensure that it gets flagged/starred when it reaches my inbox).
  • Please specify # of TRACKS, and LENGTH of the tracks will also be very helpful.
  • Please be as specific with every track in your request as possible to guarantee your satisfaction with the end product. These specifications include but are not limited to:
    • Speed/tempo, mood or feel (slow and sombre, or fast and hectic? etc.)
    • Instruments to include/exclude (guitars, percussion, specific instruments like church organs, accordions, steel drums, etc.)
    • Any musical criteria you can provide (major/minor key, chordal structures, etc.)
    • It will help me immensely if you can provide a download link or YouTube video of a track/tracks you’d like me to emulate the style of.
    • Feel free to send any material from your project – screen captures, videos, a full download link, etc.
  • I can refund in extreme cases if you aren’t satisfied with the result, or if I find that I can’t complete the request.
  • You’ll need to let me know if you don’t want the composition of your commission streamed. What and when I stream is usually a bit random, but I might find myself needing to dedicate a solid block of time to your commission, and streaming my work to an audience will be an ideal way for me to get going.

COMMISSION FEES

  • I will charge roughly £30 GBP per hour spent per track. I will give you an estimate of how much time I’ll need before I start. I will attempt to spend at least a couple of hours on one piece of music before sending it your way for evaluation. If you like it, great! That’ll finalise the total cost. If more work is required, I will charge more.
  • Payments must be provided upfront – PayPal preferred! Other arrangements can be made.
  • I will need to send you an invoice over PayPal. If you do not have PayPal, let me know how the transaction should occur. I won’t send you the final cut of the track until I have been paid in full.
    • A tip is not entirely necessary but feel free to leave one if you’re satisfied with the work done.
  • You will get full rights to the track upon receiving the final cut of it. You paid for it, do what you want with it!

EXAMPLE MESSAGE

Subject:
I’d like to commission you!

Message:
Hi James! I’m working on a short (3-minute) film project entitled “Dead Line” which is about a zombie invasion that happens in a customer call centre. It’s a comedic, low-budget film, so we’d like to see if you can mix some horror elements with some more light-hearted, humourous elements, maybe some computerised blips and bloops like dial-up sounds, television static or telephone buzz, mixed with some string-based accompaniment, perhaps with added distortion or glitch noises here and there. We want something haunting, uncanny, but kind of jovial underneath, perhaps like the Lavender Town theme from Pokémon?

Below is the unlisted link to the final cut of our film without the sound or music.

Our producer will need the finished soundtrack by 2nd September 20XX, could you please e-mail them at the following address:

Thanks in advance, let us know ASAP if you’re available to do this!

Best regards,
Joe Bloggs
