MIDIs page update 10/03/17

Due to Dropbox discontinuing its use of Public folders, which is where all my MIDI files happened to be hosted, I have now relocated them all to hopefully what will be a permanent home on this website.

The MIDIs page itself now has a slew of additions, mainly from earlier this year in which I buckled down and pushed out a bunch of tracks for the megaproject Supplice. There is still quite a ways to go on the musical front with regards to this project, but I’m pretty satisfied with what I’m managed to churn out during a brief spurt of (slightly non-forced) creativity back in January of this year.

ADDENDUM: Since I’m in a generous spirit, here are some tracks from the in-progress Adventures of Square Episode 2!

“Revolution! MIDI Pack” released!

See the new page!

It’s been a while since I really posted anything about my gaming and modding habits here, huh. Well now that uni is out of the way, I can focus on more personal projects. (Yes, this includes Adventures of Square for those still clamoring for that.)

But here’s a musical project that has been in the works for just under a year now and finally may see the light of day. Akin to Harmony MIDI Pack and Plutonia MIDI Pack, this pack of music was written by myself and various Doomworld community members, each one allocated its own place in the 2001 custom levelset Revolution! by Thomas van der Velden. There are 33 levels in this set, so a lot of music had to be written – and so it was, by a group of very talented musicians from across the community.

This music pack also had the good fortune of Thomas himself remaining active in the Doom scene after all this time, and gave us his full blessing to work on the project. He even designed custom artwork for it and created an entirely new bonus level which comes with the download of this pack!

You can download everything from the brand-new page here on this blog, which also has info and other links. Get it now!

Vidjeos!

The Videos page just got a pretty little makeover. It’s now a handy-dandy little thumbnail gallery, with each video having its own unique page on this blog, plus description and comment section. Feel free to browse the work I’ve done for various individuals on YouTube – from the comfort of this very website! In case the YouTube comment section is a thing that (understandably) intimidates and confuses you.

Click here to head over there now!

You’ll also notice the sidebar has changed somewhat. Featured videos are now a… um, feature of it. These are simply the videos I have contributed some of my best work to – some are recent, some are not so much, I simply made a selection that covers a broad spectrum of both music and visuals. All you have to do is click the thumbnails in the sidebar and you’ll get taken to the respective video’s page on this site.

Speaking of the sidebar, I’ve also provided a link to my Twitch channel where, you guessed it, further videos happen. I don’t stream too often, and granted it’s more of the gaming side of my online personality you’ll see there what with all the Doom maps and mods I play through, but if you’re interested in my critical commentary of what’s coming out of the Doom community these days, head on over to my Twitch channel and check it out.
